YAC Summer Programs

Video Vanguards has been collaborating with the Capacidad Summer Program and with the Pipeline Project.

Capacidad is a program run at Fort River Elementary School in Amherst. This summer's theme, Lights, Camera, Action!, was an introduction for elementary school students to media literacy, critique and production. Our VV crew -- youth and adult facilitators -- ran 3 two-week sessions, with a screening of finished work held every other Friday.

VV also ran some media workshops for "rising" 8th, 9th and 10th graders this summer through the Pipeline Project, a collaborative effort between Amherst College and Amherst Schools.

Get Up Get Down and GirlsEyeView are resting this summer, yet gearing up for new sessions in the fall.

Please check back here in late August for announcements about our fall lineup...
Enjoy the summer!
