Arts-for-Change Project Presents Art Exhibition as Part of Amherst Art Walk

On June 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Arts-for-Change Project, part of the Youth Action Coalition (YAC), held a reception for their spring art exhibit as part of Amherst Art Walk. The reception was held in Hampshire College’s main gallery inside the library.
During the reception, the youth presented their art pieces, which varied from photographs and video installations to public art. The exhibit consisted of art from each of the approximately 60 youths. The art represented a year’s worth of work, but most of the art shown was created since February. The exhibit provided the young artists the opportunity to create a dialogue about their pieces with the audience.
